Question Cholesterol suddenly raised to 273?

Hello... I am 23 years old, female. I exercise at least twice a week, and I am a vegetarian. My diet consists mostly of tofu, grains, veggies, and fruits. I do not eat anything high in saturated fats (mainly because I was told as a kid that is what causes cellulite... haha).

I had my blood checked in February of this year for anemia... my cholesterol was very low, my bad cholesterol was so low my doctor even complimented me on it.

I recently had my blood tested again, about a week ago. My total cholesterol was 273! I am very worried, but my doctor says it's nothing to be concerned about?? It was a fasting blood test, and I did not eat a thing for at least 12 hours before the test.

Why would it suddenly go up so high? I have been fainting and feeling nauseous lately, as well.

Thank you.
